Cryosauna

What to Expect wih Every Whole Body Cryotherapy Session:

All whole body cryotherapy sessions are conducted by a trained and certified CryoUSA technician who remains with you for the duration of your session. Inside the cryochamber you will only be wearing socks, slippers and gloves; men also wear briefs. This allows for 90% of your skin to be exposed to the hyper cool air. It is fine to leave your hair down and have on face lotion or makeup. We ask that you do not apply lotion or any moisture to your skin an hour before your session. No jewelry or metals can be worn below the neck.

Your first whole body cryotherapy appointment can take anywhere between 15-20 minutes so that we can fully educate you on the process and answer any questions you may have. After the first appointment, sessions typically take 5-7 minutes.

In the cryosauna , the body constricts peripheral tissues sending blood from the skin surface, muscle tissue, and surrounding joint space to the core to protect core temperature. As the blood travels to the core it passes through the cardiovascular system where it is cleansed of toxins and supplied with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes. As long as the exposure to the extremely cold temperature continues the body continues to flush the tissue of toxins and circulate blood between the cardiovascular system and the vital organs on a continuous loop. This continues to cleanse the blood while adding oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes. Once the participant exits the cryosauna, the body immediately begins vasodilation, returning the enriched blood to peripheral tissues that have been cleansed of toxins.

RecoveryPump

Pre-Training: Use the RecoveryPump before training or competition for 15-20 minutes to get blood moving and begin to dilate the vascular system. The effect is very similar to a warm-up jog but can be done at rest, without wasting valuable energy stores. Adjust pressure to personal comfort but we recommend 60mmHg for this 15-20 minute active recovery warm-up.

Post-Training: If using the RecoveryPump immediately after a workout (while the vascular system is still dilated), we recommend 30-45 minutes use. If you decide to go about your daily activities and use it at the end of the day, 1 to 1.5 hours is recommended.

Recovery/Rehab: Coaches, Trainers and Sports Practitioners know that an athlete’s ability to adapt to training and improve performance is directly related to sufficient recovery. A careful balance must be maintained between enhancing performance and yet not overtraining, causing injury. Smart recovery is what consistently separates top athletes from their competition.

RecoveryPump has revolutionized the way in which athletes can now recover after every training session. Used during passive rest time to simulate an active recovery session, RecoveryPump’s unique compression sequence is designed to rapidly accelerate the body’s reabsorption of metabolic waste. This allows the body to recover more quickly without expending further energy resources.

Clinical Studies have proven that the RecoveryPump system supports the body’s natural ability to flush metabolic waste from the muscle. This medically proven “flush” sequence quickly restores the delivery of nutrients to the muscles.

By accelerating the natural recovery process, RecoveryPump allows athletes to have better quality workouts, higher weekly training volume and reduces the risk of injury.

When you incorporate RecoveryPump’s active compression therapy into your athlete’s daily recovery protocol, it allows you to:

  • Manage your athlete’s ability to maintain training load more effectively
  • Optimize recovery to achieve and maintain peak performance
